This year, we are meeting in Cowes on the first Monday of every month 7pm – 9pm, for Chenrezi practice. Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezi) is the Buddha of compassion, and this practice helps still our minds and generate compassion & kindness, not only for others but also for ourselves. If you’re new to Buddhism, come along – we’re happy to help you feel at home in the group!

Anyone who wants to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism is invited to join our foundation course ‘Crossing the Water’. This is a clear & easy to follow programme based on the classic introduction to Tibetan Buddhism ‘Words of My Perfect Teacher’ by Patrul Rinpoche.
Topics include:
  1. What is Buddhism?
  2. A brief history (Starting with Sakyamuni Buddha and making clear differences between the many Buddhist traditions & practices)
  3. Meditation and Contemplation
  4. The Four Noble Truths
  5. Karma and Rebirth
For those who want to gain deeper understanding, we go on to study ‘Illusion of Life & Death’ by Kyabje Pema Kalsang Rinpoche.
We will always do our best to offer help or guidance to anyone who is confused or unsure as to which path is right for them to follow.
